Our Lady of Sorrows is a private pre-K to 8 Catholic elementary school which has served the communities of the greater Trenton area since it was established in 1955.
Construction of Our Lady of Sorrows School began in October, 1954. The Marianite Sisters of the Holy Cross came to staff the school which opened its doors for the first time in September 1955, to 279 students in grades 1-4. In 1960, there were 59 students in the first graduating class from Our Lady of Sorrows School.
Today, the school has a student population of approximately 225 students and offers Art, Music, Computers, Advanced Math and Algebra, Resource Room, Physical Education and Library in addition to the regular academic subjects. For over 60 years we have provided a quality Catholic education.The school serves the communities of the greater Trenton area as a mission of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish under the direction of the Office of Catholic Education of the Diocese of Trenton. OLS is accredited by the AdvancED Commission.
Since 2005, the school has been an integral part of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish. Our school colors are blue and white.
